Moving from childhood to adulthood involves change and decision making for all children and their families; this process is likely to involve different and additional considerations when the young person has a Learning Disability and/or Autism.
The transition pages on our website are designed to pass on useful information to young people aged around 14 to 25, and their families or other supporters.
They do not take the place of exiting publications, two of which are listed below. However, the information in our transition guide is tailored to the Harrogate and surrounding area and will be kept as up to date as possible.
Everyone is welcome to access this information and/or to contact Ruth McQuire for any further information (Transitions and Outcomes Manager ruth@hs4lc.org.uk ). We have a meeting space at the Harrogate Chocolate Café which is ideal for getting to know people and trying to help! If you would find it easier to access any of the information by sitting down and talking to someone, please get in touch.
